1. Can parents engage a speech therapist to come to their child's school?
Yes, parents can arrange for an external speech therapist to provide therapy at their child's school. However, this is subject to the school's approval.

Yes. Speech Matters provides school‑based speech therapy across Singapore. We visit mainstream schools, preschools, international schools and special needs schools.
How is school‑based therapy different from centre‑based therapy?
School‑based therapy removes the need for parents to travel. Teachers can sit in the sessions, and continue the therapy approaches in the classroom settings so that the student gets the maximal benefit from therapy.
Do you work with preschools that are not yet inclusive?
Yes. We help preschools of all types support children with speech and language needs – whether you are already inclusive or just beginning.
Do you support MOE mainstream schools?
Yes. We have supported MOE mainstream primary schools for over 15 years.
What assessments do you use in schools?
We use standardised assessments appropriate for school settings. Reports are accepted by MOE schools, paediatricians and early intervention centres.
How do schools pay for speech therapy?
Schools may bill parents directly, or we can invoice the parents directly. We accept CDA and other funding schemes.
